Every year Art Access curates exhibits from emerging and established artists.
To apply, please review the information below and complete your application.
Essential Application Information
Art Access/VSA Utah provides equal opportunities to inclusive arts programs for Utahns with disabilities and those with limited access to the arts.
Promoting art for everyone, Art Access galleries display stimulating art in an inclusive setting by artists from all backgrounds and with all points-of-view. Art access has two galleries available for exhibits: the main gallery for larger exhibits; and Access II, a smaller display space.
Art Access Gallery welcomes exhibit proposals from emerging and established artists, artists with and without disabilities, and artists representing other underserved communities. We focus on Utah artists and ask that artwork intended for exhibit at Art Access be new and not have been shown at other venues. Work in any medium is accepted.
Proposal Requirements and Application
Download the 2014 Gallery Application pdf file shown below and save the blank document to your desktop. Once saved, open the pdf file and type your information directly into the digital application. You do not need to complete the application all at once - just save as you go. Once you have completed your application, do a final save on your desktop so you have a completed application for your files, and then save another final copy to a CD along with your submission images (see application for image details). Your completed pdf application form and digital images of your artwork should be saved to ONE (1) CD for submission. We DO NOT need a printed copy of your application, nor printed images -- only the CD.
2014 Gallery Application (you must mail or hand deliver with disc of images to the Art Access office)
All proposals and CD images must be submitted online, postmarked or hand-delivered by July 1 to Art Access, 230 South 500 West, #125, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101. Please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your CD. CDs will not be returned without this envelope.
The Art Access Gallery Committee will meet to select exhibitions for the 2014 gallery schedule. Quality of work, evidence of ability to produce proposed exhibit, balance of mediums submitted for season, and completion and clarity of the proposal will all be considered. Notification of acceptance will be made by mid-August.
Exhibition work does not have to be sold, but Art Access does require a 30% commission on all sales completed. Art Access is a member of the Salt Lake Gallery Association and participates in the Salt Lake Gallery Strolls, held the third Friday of each month, as well as having regular weekday hours for display and sales.
Please call Sheryl Gillilan at Art Access (801-328-0703) with any questions or concerns as you develop your exhibit proposal. Please explore our website to learn more about our mission and vision.
