About Face — Ceramic Wall Sculpture WorkshopDesert Dreamtime
with Anne Gregerson

NOTE: THE FOLLOWING WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. ADDITIONAL REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND NOTIFIED ONLY IF A SPACE BECOMES AVAILABLE.

Has it been too long since you played in the mud? We'll learn about proportions, facial features and basic handbuilding techniques for clay as we each create a three-dimensional wall sculpture of a face. We'll look at ancient and contemporary examples of clay faces ranging from simple to more complex. Underglazes will be available for adding color to completed pieces, which will be fired and returned to Art Access for pick up two weeks after the workshop. Bring a sketchbook and think about personal symbols you might like to include. All skill levels are welcome!

Anne Gregerson has studied at the Tucson Museum of Art School and earned a BFA in fine art with an emphasis in sculpture from BYU. As a certified K-12 educator she has taught art for several years in Utah schools. She exhibits her work in regional and national shows, and is represented by "A Gallery" in SLC and "Marshall-LeKae Gallery" in Scottsdale, Arizona.

A $50 tuition fee per workshop covers art supplies, along with a light lunch.

This fee may be reduced based on need or if you have previously participated in the Partners Program. Call Amanda at 801-328-0703, option 5, or email her This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
