January 18 through February 8, 2013

Opening Reception: January 18, 6-9 p.m.

Art Access Gallery: Rose Park Artists group exhibit curated by Justin Wheatley
Access II Gallery: Early Sundance Photographs by Trisha H. Empey

Eight artists will come together for a group exhibit about the place they call home. During his two years as a resident of Rose Park, artist Justin Wheatley has come to the realization that many of his neighbors are also artists -- all seemingly drawn to this community for similar reasons, yet creating different experiences.

In speaking to his neighbors, Wheatley was inspired to bring them together for a group show. "As we discussed the reasons we all wound up in such close proximity, it became evident that our neighborhood has affected us each in different ways. We were all interested in the idea of visualizing our experiences in a way that reflects the vibrancy, diversity, and creativity of our community."

In addition to Wheatley, who is also curating the exhibit, participating artists include Eric Erekson, Blue Critchfield, Erica Houston, Anikó Sáfrán, Ken Critchfield, Brandon Dayton, Sarinda Jones, Hikmet Loe and Tyler Williams.

In Access II Gallery, photographer Trisha H. Empey will exhibit her black and white photographs from the early days of the Sundance Film Festival. The photographs she captured during that time portray the raw essence of the festival from days gone by.

Both exhibits run through February 8, 2013.
